MilSpeak Books Tour

A dynamic, literary cavalcade featuring three recent publications with MilSpeak Books—Beyond Their Limits of Longing: Contemporary Writers & Veterans on the Lingering Stories of WWI by Hampton Roads native Jennifer Orth-Veillon, American Delphi by MC Armstrong, and Salmon in the Seine: Alaskan Memories of Life, Death, and Everything In-Between by Norris Comer. Through the lens of war and the military seen through a diversity of perspectives—Comer’s memoir about a high schooler dealing with the Coast Guard, Armstrong’s YA novel about a daughter solving the mystery of her father who is a traumatized combat veteran of the Iraq War, and Orth-Veillon’s collection spotlighting 62 of today’s eminent war writers on the 1914-1918 conflict that shaped the modern world—the books presented offer a broad range of innovative contemporary perspectives on current conflicts and social issues.

After reading from their books and hopefully engaging in lively discussion, the authors will be available for book signings. Books will be available on-site for sale.

MilSpeak Books is an imprint of the military nonprofit, MilSpeak Foundation, which devotes its teaching and financial resources toward supporting the creative endeavors of veterans and their families.
